• Professional development to an individual district or small group of districts to address needs that have been identified through the Five-Year Comprehensive Education Planning process or other needs assessment processes;
• Identify and make available high-quality professional development, that can serve the needs of a broad cross-section of districts;
• Provide, through a regionalized approach a vehicle for the design and delivery of state, Office of Public Instruction, professional development initiatives;
• Utilize our networks and contacts to provide on-site technical assistance and professional development event coordination.
PESA will utilize Tom Guskey’s work to guide our professional development model.
Level 1— Awareness — Basic Introduction to a topic Level 2— Practice — Provides opportunities to deepen topic/skill knowledge for instructional personnel.. Level 3 — Provides high quality, job embedded training in strategies for developing, implementing and evaluating learning experiences that are standards-based, subject specific, exemplify best instructional practices Level 4 —Trainers within the region that will provide on-site technical assistance regarding implementation needs |
